last weekend i had an awesome time photographing Bill & Courtney's wedding which took place in Gainesville, FL at Queen of Peace Catholic Church , followed up by a reception at Sweetwater Branch Inn. i was working as a "second shooter" for Amy Barry of Capturing Real Life . all of the groomsmen were hilarious. it was hard to maintain a serious demeanor while taking candids of them before the wedding. these guys definitely made them candid shots! just to give you an idea of the good vibes that filled this wedding, please check out this video of Bill's gift to his bride at the reception.
i'll share more photos from their day soon.

Shy Guy & Chatty Cathy

These two kids could not have been more different. He was quiet and reserved. She was non-stop talking and posing. Yet, they were both very sweet and I had a wonderful time photographing them.

What a wonderful bunch of O's!

Check out the 'O' family portraits. It was a beautiful day, but hot! Good thing they thought to bring a towel to dab those glistening foreheads. :) I think I'll add a towel to my list of "must have" items for outdoor sessions in the Florida summer.
In the short time I spent with them it was obvious there is a lot of love and affection there. Thank you so much to Dad & the boys for driving all the way in from camping just so they could do this session for Mom. Now that is love!
ETA: Just to let you know. There is something wrong with the color when I uploaded these photos to the internet. The real photos are much more vibrant!

I had TWINS!
Yep, I finally I had a session with twins. :)

They were gorgeous. I look forward to doing it again when they are a little less active... like around age 10. haha.
Thanks for spending your afternoon with me. Hope the ice cream was fun!

The wedding of Lawrence & Natasha
The newlyweds are back from Puerto Rico, so we are now ready to show some photos from their big day! First, here are some of the beautiful details from the wedding:

During the ceremony ~
You can get a glimpse into what a fun person Natasha is from this photo. This was right after the minister announced that Lawrence could kiss the bride. I think she was definitely happy that she was finally with her man!
Here is the new couple "Jumping the Broom".
Then halfway down the aisle they just had to stop for one more kiss. Now this is a couple in love!
After the ceremony we headed out onto the beautiful grounds of the Windsor Parke Golf Club to take some photos.

yes, the next one is a repost, but i love it!
Are you noticing a theme here? This is one passionate couple! I guess it doesn't help that the 2 of them have hardly seen each other the past several months due to Lawrence being in school several states away. I figured if I wanted to get any shots where I could see their faces I would have to resort to splitting them up. haha.

Then everyone enjoyed delicious food~
Followed up by the couple's first dance~

Which then led into a whole lotta dancing!
Thank you so much for sharing your day with me! Best of luck to both of you. And, I hope you get plenty of alone time. ;)

found my favorite wedding photograph!
I am working on the photos from Lawrence & Natasha's wedding last weekend in Jacksonville, FL and I have come across a photograph that I am absolutely in love with! Check it out:
I can see the emotion coming through! You guys look awesome. I think you need to order this one as a 24x36 canvas to go above your bed! :)

New Slideshow & other stuff
Yoo-hoo, Shoals! Your 30th anniversary slideshow is up and running. I hope you guys love it! Were you surprised I knew what "your song" was? :)
Everyone else, I will be busy over the weekend photographing Lawrence & Natasha's wedding at the Windsor Parke Golf & Country Club. It's in the Jacksonville Beach / Jacksonville Intracoastal area. I will answer all calls and emails on Monday.
And, since this is a photography blog (among other things- ha) I just don't feel right leaving a post without a photo. So, here's one of my son, Jett. He is going for my camera. I know what he's thinking, "Give it here, Mom! It's MY turn to take pictures of YOU!"
Have a great weekend!

30 years of wedded bliss
i visited the Shoals at their home to capture some images to mark this awesome occasion. it seems so rare to hear of a couple making it to their 30 year anniversary these days. to acknowledge this i made the comment to them that they are part of a dying breed. i then realized that didn't sound very flattering. they just laughed.
here they are with a photo of themselves at the age of 19-

these are truly wonderful people. they have great spirit and wonderful senses of humor. i believe a good sense of humor can get you through anything. especially 30 years of marriage!

mrs. shoals also brought out her wedding dress and veil, so i took a few photos with those items and then since her granddaughter was there, we threw her into the mix, too.

ok mr. & mrs. shoals! you better hang on to my number so i can shoot your 50th anniversary, too! happy anniversary!

party like it's 100 posts!
well technically this is the 101st post, but i just wanted to celebrate the fact that i've had 100 posts on this blog. :) that is much better than i ever did with any of my diaries as a kid.
speaking of kids... have i mentioned how much i love this little guy?
he was standing under a tree and a ray of light was shining through the branches and onto his face. so cool.
