labradoodle

i just love saying that name! it sounds so silly and it makes me smile. if you aren't familiar with what a labradoodle is then here is a brief description from Wikipedia-

The Labradoodle was first deliberately bred in 1989, when Australian breeder Wally Conron first crossed the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle for Guide Dogs Victoria ^[1]. His aim was to combine the Poodles' low-shed coat with the gentleness and trainability of the Labrador, in order to provide a guide dog for the blind with less shedding, and hence more suitable for people with allergies to fur and dander.

i had the pleasure of meeting my first labradoodle by the name of Riley back in early December. her owner's girlfriend snuck her out of the house so we could take Riley's photo as a Christmas present. i have been waiting to post these pics until Christmas was over and i knew the surprise had been given. Riley was a beautiful, well-behaved, happy dog and it was a pleasure taking her photo!
